Paint-A-Long lessons with Darcy

Hey Friends!

I have some super exciting news. I am launching a Paint-A-Long private membership group on Facebook! Sign up now and starting on June 1st I will be posting weekly follow a long videos of beautiful paintings. I will teach each painting with step by step instructions for you to follow along with me and create your own work of art!

For $20 per month you are privileged to several follow along videos for a whole month and with membership they keep piling up!!!

There will be a different painting/subject each week and all of the videos will remain in the group for you to complete at your leisure. You will be able to pause and go back and work at your own pace. The video lessons will build up in the group and will all remain accessible to you as long as you remain a member.

What a relaxing and fun art form to participate in. Anyone can learn to follow along and create a beautiful masterpiece to display in your home. The membership page will also provide a community for questions or comments and suggestions.

Back at it!! Fall classes and commissions!!

Well, here we go back in full swing!  The kids have returned to school and art classes are resuming with the children.  I've got three after school elementary art classes beginning this week, three different preschool art classes starting in September, six senior living facilities that I teach painting classes at monthly and several commissions on the docket!  That being said, if you are local to the Birmingham, Alabama area and are looking for an art class for your child, I've got you covered!!  Send me a message and I can get you the registration information. 
 

Commissions welcomed!!  Whether it be pet portrait, home portrait, floral or landscape!  I can paint your favorite thing!!!  Birthday, anniversary, special occasions and......  Christmas will be here before we know it, so get your orders in soon!!  

Full Speed and Paint!

Wow! Schedules are getting crazy. Jam packed every day with classes for young and old and filling commission orders. A lot going on but it's a good crazy schedule. Fall is starting to look more like spring for me.

I've increased the classes I teach by about 30 percent this fall.  I've added two retirement homes and a new preschool class as well. I teach various art and painting classes from ages three through one hundred. I love it! Each age group offers a different perspective on things and the challenge of finding creative ways to teach the varied needs of the students. 

The pet portraits and house portraits are streaming in as well. I just love the look on a customers the joy and satisfaction that my customers display when they see the finished portrait. It really just thrills me to capture their special pet or memory on canvas.

I've been prepping for an Artists Market on December 2nd at the Shelby County Arts Center in Columbiana, Alabama. I will be showing my florals and landscapes at that show. Please come by and see me if you are in the Birmingham, Alabama area.

Our two youngest children keep me busy when I'm not creating or teaching Never a dull moment in the Walker Household.

Fall Commissions Underway!

Hey Friends!

I am so enjoying this gorgeous fall weather we have here today working out on my deck! Painting certainly keeps my mind off of all of the craziness. What a relaxing release! 

"What's all going on this fall?' You might ask.... Well so much artistic fun to be honest!! Here is a little information about me and my art offerings and classes!

I'm well into the swing of things around here with the start of Fall/Holiday commissions trickling in. I'm currently working on a house portrait for someone very near and dear to my heart. Hoping to have that one complete by this evening. Three adorable pet portraits to follow! Get your orders in ASAP if you plan to place a commission for the holidays! November gets crazy with orders so the sooner the better to make sure you have the special piece of artwork for your loved one in time for the holidays.
